What is Considered a High THC Vape?

Most people are worried about THC since they know that this substance causes a high and addiction. However, legal vapes contain it only in small amounts. On the other hand, it is also known that when THC is present in CBD vapes, it may significantly boost its health benefits. That is why all CBD medications clinically approved in the UK contain THC.
So, naturally, there are also people who might want to know what is considered a high THC vape.
Before we tell you about what is considered a high THC vape, remember that THC is illegal in the UK. It is a controlled substance under the Drugs Misuse Act. However, small amounts of it might be present in certain vapes since the law realizes that it is not possible to remove all THC from full-spectrum cannabis extract.
So, the law in the UK says that some full-spectrum cannabis extract products might contain THC. However, this amount should not be more than 1 mg per container (1). A product that contains THC should not be sold for the purpose of using THC solely. THC in vape products should not be readily extractable to prevent THC misuse.
It seems that the law is pretty clear regarding what is a high THC vape. It means that any product that contains 1 mg of THC may be regarded as a high THC vape. But there is more to it.
As we can see, the law describes the maximum amount per container. However, the container size is not mentioned. It means that smaller containers like 1 ml THC vaping juice will have higher THC than 5 ml THC vaping juice if both of them have 1 mg of THC in a container.
Many websites say that the maximum permissible concentration in the UK is 0.02%. However, that is not completely true. That limit is for the hemp plants that can be cultivated for industrial use. UK law does not allow cultivating hemp plants without a license if naturally occurring THC concentration in those plants is above that limit. So, that law is rather about hemp agriculture and not THC vapes. So, in theory, some THC vapes may have higher concentrations.
Of course, we do not encourage people to use high THC products. There is a reason why the law forbids its use at higher concentrations or dosages. THC is well tolerated and good only at small dosages. So, this article is only for education.
Now, if we do a calculation, we can understand that many THC vapes have THC concentrations above 0.02%.
To demonstrate this fact, let us look at the example. One of the popular THC vapes has 1 mg THC in a container and a total of 1 ml e-juice. So, what is the THC concentration?
Concentration (%)=(Total volume of liquid (mg)/Amount of THC (mg))×100
So, according to the formula above, the container has 1 mg THC and approximately 1000 mg of vape liquid, which means that it has a THC concentration of 0.1%.
So, as one can see, the vape mentioned above has a concentration higher than 0.02%, but it is still legal. Since the law only forbids THC higher than 1 mg per container, along with some other recommendations.
Even at such concentrations, THC is still very safe. It does not cause a high. It only boosts the health effects of CBD and minor cannabinoids.
So, this is the highest THC vape that one can buy legally to enjoy high THC flavour safely. Most importantly, one can buy it legally. Such products are safe and have been approved by regulatory bodies and tested by third-party labs.
